This week, get ready for Santa Monica’s transportation revolution with Climate Action Santa Monica, celebrate International Education Week at Santa Monica College, kick off SMC Public Policy Institute’s Fall Forum on the arts, and have a very merry un-birthday at the Main Branch library.
Santa Monica’s Transportation Revolution
Climate Action Santa Monica’s public forum this coming Sunday, November 22, will tackle the transformation our city is undergoing in terms of how we get around.
Breeze Bike Share officially launched last week, Expo light rail will open all the way to Santa Monica next year, the Big Blue Bus is overhauling its service to integrate with light rail, and the city is working on a comprehensive pedestrian action plan.
You can learn about all of this and more with a hands-on forum at the Church in Ocean Park that will feature speakers from the Big Blue Bus, Santa Monica Spoke, and Metro. It will also include climate change expert William Selby, professor of Geography and Earth Sciences at Santa Monica College.
